Use Snap/Break Vector to snap to an existing design element from the active design file. The following MicroStation element types can be snapped with this function:

• Line

• Line String

• Complex Chain

When the Snap/Break Vector key is pressed, the active element is snapped to the nearest of existing elements supported by the Snap/Break Vector function. The former element is broken into two pieces and an additional end point is added to each of the new elements at the snap location.
